Antipinsky oil refinery

Challenge:

  • Transportation of Haldor Topsoe’s hydrogen production unit from Rotterdam (Netherlands) to Tyumen (Russia) for Antipinsky oil refinery
  • 10 784 m3 of total volume, total weight is 2 337 t

Solution:

  • Transportation has been performed with 13 origin places in the following 8 countries involved: Czech Republic, Germany, Romania, Italy, Belgium, The Netherlands, Denmark, Portugal
  • Cargo has been delivered to pre-consolidation point in Rotterdam, and then it has been loaded on two vessels
  • One sea vessel came straight to Saint-Petersburg for unloading, the other one (“river-sea” type) came to Saint-Petersburg for customs clearance operations and then it followed up to Perm river port
  • Cargo from Saint-Petersburg has been delivered to Tyumen by rail and auto transport
  • Cargo from Perm was mainly out-of gauge and heavy-weight; it has been delivered to the site by special auto transport

Challenge:

  • Transportation of 3 hydrocracking reactors from Marina di Carrara (Italy) to the city of Tyumen (Russia) for Antipinsky oil refinery
  • The weight of each reactor is 233 t

Solution:

  • Design of load security project
  • Sea freight from the port of Marina di Carrara to the port of Tobolsk (Russia) through the Mediterranean sea, Black Sea and Northern Sea Route
  • Overload in the port of Tobolsk on river barges by gantry crane of 320 t capacity
  • River transportation from the port of Tobolsk to Tyumen
  • Construction of temporary ro-ro berth in Tymen and unloading by ro-ro way
  • Road transportation to the site of Antipinsky oil refinery
